Our Programs

Beginner Piano Group Class
Beginner Group Piano

Allegro Music School offers a beginner group piano class for ages 6 - 8.  Our most economical option, this is a great way for students to get their feet wet and learn the basics of note reading and keyboard technique in a fun, collaborative setting. We use the exact same curriculum as our private lessons! And even more than in private lessons, these classes offer students the opportunity to learn ensemble skills, with everyone playing together in a group!  The peer support is a major benefit and students make new friends while learning to play the piano!

For the Spring 2025 semester, this class meets every Thursday from 5:30 - 6:00pm, January 16 - May 22.  â€‹Tuition for the Spring 2025 semester is $380 for the entire class or 4 monthly payments of $110.

Private Music Lessons
Private Lessons

Allegro Music School offers private lessons to students ages 4 - adult on the piano, and ages 6 - adult on strings, woodwinds, and voice.  Students meet weekly with one of our experienced instructors for 30 minutes. Lessons include instruction in technique, music theory, music history, aural skills, and a variety of repertoire.

For our piano students, we use a cutting-edge beginner method called The Piano ABC's to teach note reading which helps our students graduate to "real music" very quickly.  We always teach with the student's goals in mind, and we keep them involved in the selection of their music.

Tuition is $135/month with discounts for multiple siblings or additional/longer lessons each week.

Group Classes and Camps
Guitar Ensemble Class

Allegro offers semester-long guitar ensemble classes for students ages 11 and up, with at least one year of playing experience. We review the basics of guitar playing and learn how to play and perform together! Performance opportunities might include Allegro recitals, community events, and competitions!

This is a great opportunity for students to make music together, grow as musicians, improve ear training, and gain valuable ensemble skills. It is rare that students end up with a solo performing career; however, many guitarists continue to use their skills in a group setting! We want all our students to experience the joy of making music with others.

For the Spring 2025 semester, the ensemble class meets each Thursday from 6:00 - 6:45pm, January 16 - May 22. Tuition is $75/month or a discounted $255 if the class is paid in full.

Camps

At various times throughout the year, students are offered the opportunity to participate in camps to further a particular skill in a fun, group setting.

For example, our Thanksgiving Theory Classes helped students to grow their music theory knowledge through activities and games with other students of a similar age.

We also offer fun, summer music camps that vary each summer.

Performance Opportunities
Performance Opportunities

At Allegro Music we believe regular performance opportunities are an excellent way for students to learn how to work towards a long term goal, develop confidence, and use their music to contribute to others.  We offer multiple recitals and other performance opportunities throughout the school year.  These include fall recitals, Christmas recitals at River Ridge Mall, winter recitals, end-of-year recitals, and the possibility for others.

Allegro's end-of-year recital is a highlight of our school year.  This is when we celebrate the accomplishments of all our students and enjoy performances from all levels, instruments and genres!  Each of our students is invited to participate!  We love how preparing for and executing an excellent performance can significantly boost a student's self-confidence.
