Our Programs Create "Music Addicts"
BEGINNER GROUP PIANO CLASSES
Allegro Music School offers beginner group piano classes for ages 6 - 8. Our most economical option, this is a great way for students to get their feet wet, learn the basics of note reading and keyboard technique in a fun collaborative setting. We use the exact same curriculum as our private lessons! And even more than in private lessons, these classes offer students the opportunity to learn ensemble skills, because everyone practices playing together in a group! The peer support is a great benefit and students make new friends while learning to play the piano!
For the Fall 2024 semester, class meets every Tuesday from 4:45pm - 5:15pm, September 3rd - December 17th. Tuition for the Fall 2024 semester is $295 for the whole class or 4 payments of $85.
Private Music Lessons
Allegro Music School offers private lessons to students ages 4 - adult on the piano, and ages 6 - adult on violin, cello, upright bass, electric bass, guitar, ukelele, mandolin, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, harp, and voice. Students meet weekly with one of our experienced instructors for 30 minutes. Lessons include instruction in technique, note reading and a variety of repertoire. We use a cutting edge beginner method to teach note reading which helps our students graduate to "real music" very quickly (www.PianoABCsTheMethod.com). We always teach with the student's goals in mind, and we keep the students involved in the selection of their music. Tuition is $135/month with discounts for multiple siblings or additional classes each week.
Beginner Guitar Group Classes
In this class, students ages 8 - adult explore the beginning guitar skills needed to jump-start their playing and give them a great introduction to the creative and fun world of guitar playing. This class will cover how to tune a guitar, make and play chords, improvisation, strumming techniques, and basic songwriting skills. It's a fun and easy way to get started or brush up on your skills! The social aspect is another plus! Group classes range between $280-$320 a semester, with payment plans available.
We do not currently have a Beginner Guitar Group Class scheduled for the Fall of 2024, but please reach out to be put on a wait list or to inquire about private lessons!
Guitar Ensemble Class
Allegro offers semester-long guitar ensemble classes for students ages 13 and up, with a minimum of one year of playing experience, who are interested in playing guitar together! We review the basics of guitar playing and learn how to play together, and sometimes, we even perform together!
Allegro's Guitar Ensembles provide an opportunity for slightly more advanced students to grow as musicians by playing and performing with each other. Performance opportunities might include Allegro recitals, community events, and competitions!
For the Fall 2024 semester, the ensemble class meets each Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. from September 5th to December 19th. Tuition is $75/month or a discounted $255 if the class is paid in full.

String Orchestra Class
Allegro is excited to now be offering a String Orchestra Class for ages 8 - 12! This class is designed to help beginning string students (violin, viola, and cello) prepare for participation in orchestra. Come gain valuable ensemble experience, learn how to follow a conductor, and explore a variety of repertoire. We also provide performance opportunities! One year of string experience is required.
Auditions for the Fall 2024 semester are Monday, August 26th at 4:00pm. The class meets Mondays 4:00pm - 4:45pm, September 6th - December 16th. The cost is $75/month or a discounted $255 if the class is paid in full.

Group Classes and Camps
At various times throughout the year, students are offered the opportunity to participate in group classes to further a particular skill or work on theory concepts in a fun group setting. Summer music camps or keyboard improvisation classes are also offered to our students.
Performance Opportunities
At Allegro Music we believe regular performance opportunities are a fabulous way for students to learn how to work towards a long term goal, develop confidence, and use their music to contribute to others. We offer multiple recitals and other performance opportunities throughout the school year.

End of the Year Recital!
Allegro's end of the year recital is a highlight of our school year. This is when we celebrate the accomplishments of all our students and enjoy performances from all levels, instruments and genres! All of our students are invited to participate! We love how preparing for and executing an excellent performance can significantly boost a students self confidence.
